The Existence and Contributions of American Abolitionist, Lucy Stone

Lucy Stone Biography

Lucy

Stone was created in Massachusetts on August 13, 1818. She was created

into a category of committed abolitionists, and discovered to fight

slavery in early stages in her lifestyle. Lucy Stone started out her journey fighting

for the privileges of women by becoming a member of the Women's National Loyal League

founded by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony, and down the road

founding the American Equivalent Rights Association in 1866.

Lucy Rock dedicated her lifetime to Women's Suffrage and

Women's Rights, she also founded and started to be president of the brand new

Jersey Girl Suffrage Association.

Natural stone founded and led various companies with her rebellious, strong

willed and radical characteristics.

At

just 16 years previous Stone made the decision that she wished to follow in

her brother's footsteps, and made a decision to pursue higher education,

defying her parent's wants.

After spending one term at a Seminary, she tripped to attend Oberlin

University in Ohio. She paid out her own approach through college, becoming the

first female from Massachusetts to graduate from college or university with a

bachelor's degree in the entire year 1847.

Upon graduation, Stone started out dealing with the American Anti-Slavery

World where she continued to check out her passion for eliminating

slavery and also commenced her profession as a presenter.
